Employment Lawyer

Rowberry Morris is recruiting an Employment lawyer NQ – 2 Years PQE+ to join our Tadley Office to work in our busy Employment Department. We are looking for an ambitious candidate seeking an exciting opportunity with excellent career progression.

Training will be given to develop the skills and specialisms.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in Contentious and uncontentious Employment work and be confident in providing quality advice to clients in a professional and personable manner. Ideally, they will have the drive to build professional connections and support the Department in business development.

All candidates must be local to our Tadley office or within 30 minutes of travel.

Skills & Experience

  • Ability (with support) to develop and manage an independent caseload effectively whilst sustaining a very high level of attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships with both existing and new clients and with professional connections.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A willingness to support the Department in Business Development.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of a case management system.
  • Conducting cases efficiently in accordance with the firm’s policies.
  • Compliance with Money Laundering procedures and GDPR.
  • Salary commensurate with experience. Part-time or flexible hours will be considered.

Duties will include:

  • Working as part of a small team.
  • Providing legal advice to clients in relation to employment law matters.
  • Drafting legal documents such as employment contracts, settlement agreements, details of claim, grounds of resistance, schedules of loss and so on.
  • Conducting legal research and staying up to date with developments in employment law.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with barristers, clerks, experts, HR Consultants, OH Consultants.
  • Conducting investigations in relation to whistleblowing, grievances, disciplinaries and so on.
  • Drafting newsletters and articles for our website and local publications.
  • Engaging in social media for the Department.
