Cohabitation Agreements

If you decide that, as a couple, you would prefer to live together rather than marry or enter into a civil partnership, it is still sensible for you to ensure that all of your finances are discussed and an agreement entered into to record those decisions.

You can set out arrangements to regulate what should happen while you are living together and also what is to happen in the event of your relationship breaking down.

A Cohabitation Agreement will enable you and your partner to set out your wishes.  Our experienced and friendly solicitors will be more than happy to assist with any queries that you may have.

“Luke went above and beyond to fulfil all solicitor duties acting on behalf of myself, but well as going above and beyond as a support network for our child arrangement case. When communication broke down between myself and the other party, Luke was quick to step in with communication to ensure contact sessions were being correctly adhered too. Luke provided a safe space where I felt comfortable enough to open up regarding domestic abuse, which I hadn’t felt comfortable doing so beforehand. He allowed me to feel heard and never minimised how I felt nor the impact it had no matter how big or small factors of it were and was able to understand how this would have had an impact on my child. Luke always acted professionally, and was able to be realistic offering me advice on best practice moving forward, providing me with enough information to make an informed decision that was right for my family. Luke ensured I had consistency with representation in hearings throughout, and even represented me himself during court when my usual barrister was unavailable, which I will always appreciate. Luke was able to articulate my position incredibly well and showed great patience at even the more stressful times. Luke always ensured I was informed in advance of the next process within family court. I can’t thank Luke enough for all the assistance he has provided my family with. I can’t recommend Luke enough, he really made the difference taking away so much stress from myself.”

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to my solicitor, Peter Reynolds, and his team, Elizabeth and Lorraine, for their exceptional support, professionalism, and friendly service throughout my divorce process, which lasted over three years. Peter’s advice and expertise were second to none, providing invaluable guidance and unwavering support, especially in the face of a sometimes very challenging approach from the other side.

I would not hesitate to recommend Rowberry Morris—particularly Peter and his team—to anyone in need of truly professional and compassionate legal counsel. Their guidance, direction, and understanding were invaluable in navigating one of life’s toughest moments.”

I was kept informed at every step of the process and more complex issues were handled sensitively. Legal terminologies were clearly explained and I always felt fully in touch with the process and implications of what I was entering into were made clear. Eileen deserves recognition for her support and guidance throughout the process. I would have no hesitation in appointing Stuart to assist me again if the need ever arose.”

“Despite being involved late on in the dispute with my ex-husband regarding our financial order, Stuart understood the issues quickly. He even raised a big issue that had been overlooked previously which in the end was the difference between me winning rather than losing. I highly recommend him, particularly if you have tricky financial situation.”
