New Business Team Advisors

Rowberry Morris is looking to recruit two full-time New Business Team Advisors (or equivalent part-time arrangements) to support our growing team. These roles can be based at our offices in Reading or Tadley due to proximity to key team members and training resources.

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our New Business Team. You will play a key part in assisting clients through the onboarding process, ensuring all compliance and due diligence checks are completed efficiently.

 

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organised and confident in handling sensitive information. Experience in compliance, client onboarding or due diligence requirements is advantageous.

 

As a New Business Team Advisor, you will engage with clients from diverse financial backgrounds across different legal departments. Your responsibilities will include arranging identity and financial checks and you will need to be able to identify and address any concerns. As you will be handling sensitive information, we are looking for an individual who can provide a calm and professional experience while managing sensitive information with discretion.

Skills & Experience Required

 

  • Previous experience in client onboarding, compliance, or similar due diligence roles is preferred.
  • Confident working with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word. Training on our Case Management System will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Clear, professional communication style, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Comfortable working independently and prioritising tasks in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Courteous yet confident when following up with clients or requesting further information.

Duties will include:

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct due diligence checks on all new clients, including identity verification, source of funds/wealth checks, and screening for adverse media and politically exposed persons (PEPs).
  • Liaise with clients via phone and email to coordinate compliance checks and respond to queries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all checks and communications.
  • Identify and escalate any compliance concerns or irregularities as appropriate.
  • Work closely with fee earners and support staff across various legal departments to facilitate a smooth onboarding process.
