On Wednesday 16 September a Rowberry Morris team completed the 10k Reading legal Walk. Despite the event only attracting half of the walkers compared to last year, the twenty teams that took part raised over £10,000 for frontline free legal advice charities in Reading and the Thames Valley. This is a record breaking amount which is desperately needed by the advice agencies who are struggling to maintain services with the increased challenges created by COVID 19 and the lockdown.
The number of people seeking help with Debt, Benefits and Employment has increased dramatically since the start of the pandemic. Those seeking help with Domestic Violence has also risen sharply and, in September, when the stay on evictions is lifted there will be a “tsunami” of people facing homelessness.
Rowberry Morris are pleased to support such a worthwhile cause. Our donation page is still open so please donate if you can https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RowberryMorris
